The Paranaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX), a modernized transportation hub, is now open for public. It is also tagged as the first fully air-conditioned landport in the Philippines.
PITX aims to connect passengers from Cavite to inner Metro Manila in a seamless possible inter-connectivity between different modes of transportation such as jeep, buses, taxis and soon to be LRT1 South extension. PITX also provides automated bus reservation, management and ticketing system. With this, commuting in and out of Cavite or other provinces is expected to be easier and more convenient.
DOTR announced that all provincial routes, jeeps or buses, must end their trip at the PITX terminal. Passengers will transfer to connecting in-city transportation mode inside of the terminal. On the other hand, city route buses and jeeps are not mandatory to end their trip at the terminal unless they have passengers to drop or fetch. This is based on the Department Order 2018-25 as directed by the government to help lessen the heavy traffic in Metro Manila.
